A large renovation and alteration project of an industrial and office property owned by Logicor at Kaapelikatu, Tampere, is about to begin.

The main aims of the work include a healthy indoor climate, modernised working conditions, flexibility, adaptability, comfort and energy efficiency. The office facilities, facades, structures and building automation systems will be completely overhauled.

An office space of about 1,500 square metres will be converted from traditional separate office rooms into a spacious, multi-purpose, open-plan office. Lighting in the office and production plant will be changed to LED lighting, lowering overall energy consumption at the property. The property’s building automation system will be completely overhauled, w significantly improving the management of temperature, ventilation and lighting. Bathrooms and office space in the production plant will also undergo renovation. the building will get a completely new metallic facade cladding and the windows will also be renovated.

This complex project will be carried out in three phases so the tenant can continue operations on the property throughout the project period. The alteration work in the production plant, which will concern building automation, lighting and other systems, will be carried out during the production break over the summer holidays. Construction work began in February 2017 and is due for completion in January 2018.
