During the first period of the energy efficiency agreement for the property sector which ended at the end of 2016, energy savings in Logicor’s properties exceeded the goals set.

We were able to save approximately 6,200 MWh of energy per year in our logistics, production and warehouse properties.

Logicor joined the energy efficiency agreement for the property sector in January 2015. At the end of 2016, the agreement covered 56 properties. We have developed eco-efficient operating methods in joint projects carried out with customers, improving the functionality and quality of the facilities while reducing energy costs. Projects implemented in 2015–2016 included, among others, the replacement of lighting in several properties with more energy efficient LED lighting and the renewal of building technology by improving the energy efficiency of heating, cooling and ventilation systems.

Logicor also participates in the new energy efficiency agreement for the property sector that covers the years 2017–2025. Our goal is to achieve additional savings of 7.5 per cent by 2025.

Voluntary energy efficiency agreements are a joint method of the state and the various sectors for meeting the energy efficiency requirements set for Finland. They are also an important part of Finland’s energy and climate strategy.
