Increased demand for well-located space in UK Midlands drives two new lettings at Logicor DIRFT

• Two new customers join the Logicor portfolio

• DCG Logistics UK secures over 200,000 sq ft at DIRFT200 and Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited leases 143,155 sq ft, at DIRFT150 to expand UK operations

• Two units refurbished and leased within the 10 months since takeback from previous customers

Logicor has completed two lettings at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT), one of the UK's standout distribution locations to two new customers. The two units were refurbished and let within 10 months of the previous customer vacating, demonstrating the continued strength of occupier demand for quality refurbished logistics facilities in prime distribution hubs.

Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited, a UK third-party logistics business has taken DIRFT150, a 143,155 sq ft unit at DIRFT. This unit will help Menzies to meet an urgent need for additional warehouse capacity, enabling it to expand its customer base across the UK.

The neighbouring 204,660 sq ft unit DIRFT200 has been let to DCG Logistics UK, an expanding Chinese 3PL operator and a new addition to Logicor's customer base. DCG has taken DIRFT200, as an ideal logistics hotspot to allow their customer, a global technology manufacturer to expand in the UK.

DIRFT's direct access to Junction 18 of the M1 and its position just four miles from the M6 intersection make it one of the most sought-after distribution parks in the country, and continues to experience high demand from 3PL and distribution businesses.

 

Signing two new customers to the recently refurbed units at DIRFT, in such quick succession of being vacant, is a clear indication of the strength of demand from distribution and 3PL customers for quality assets in great locations. With Menzies, we worked closely to deliver the tailored space they needed to support their immediate customer needs and longer-term UK growth ambitions. Securing DCG Logistics UK as a new customer at the same park further validates the strength of DIRFT as a prime distribution hotspot in the heart of the UK logistics Golden Triangle.
