Logicor secures planning consent for 557,000 sq ft Midlands logistics development

01 July 2026 — Logicor has secured detailed planning consent for Logicor Park Bardon, a 557,000 sq ft logistics development in Bardon, Leicestershire, further strengthening its presence in the Midlands logistics market.

Located in Coalville, within the Golden Triangle, the consented scheme is positioned to meet continued occupier demand for high-quality, sustainable logistics space in one of the UK’s most established distribution locations. The development is expected to support approximately 670 jobs in the local area.

Logicor Park Bardon is set to be delivered in late 2027 and will target BREEAM Outstanding and EPC A certification.

Sustainability features include more than 4,500 sq m of photovoltaic panels, EV charging across 550 parking spaces, and the recycling of 98% of demolition materials.

The scheme has been designed to support build-to-suit requirements, with a specification including eaves height of up to 21m, a 4MVA power supply, secure gatehouse and Cat A fitted offices.

Logicor Park Bardon is located two miles from Junction 22 of the M1, providing access to both the north and south of the country via the motorway network.

The location also benefits from a potential workforce and amenity offer of nearby cities including Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and Birmingham. Neighbouring occupiers include Aldi, Amazon, DHL, Antalis, Volvo and Menzies Distribution.

The development follows Logicor’s recent delivery and letting of key UK schemes, including 800,000 sq ft at Logicor Park Daventry and 508,003 sq ft at Derby 507.
