Logicor has started developing a strategic logistics site for pet food manufacturer, Royal Canin. The new site will help the company to grow its operations in Europe.

The new project includes the purchase of an independent site and construction of a modern built-to-suit Class A warehouse near Kraków, which will be adjacent to Royal Canin’s existing facility in Poland. It is a strategic development for the Royal Canin Niepolomice factory, which now serves 24 European and Asian markets.

The 26,500 m2 facility will provide Royal Canin with new, flexible space to support its long-term growth. The warehouse will feature sustainable solutions such as submetering of utilities, solar panels for heating tap water, electric vehicle charging stations, grey water installations, and is planned to be at least BREEAM Very Good certified (or equivalent), in line with Logicor’s ESG policy. In addition, the new development will be equipped with innovative future-proof technologies that fully automate traffic flow on the warehouse grounds.

Agnieszka Sadowska, CNE Supply Chain Director at Royal Canin Polska, said: “With the steadily growing demand for our products and our increasing storage capacity needs in Poland, we will soon reach the limits in our existing warehouse location near Kraków. With this development, we are securing space for the future growth of our operations, space for new capabilities, better agility and lower CO2 emissions.”

Michał Ptaszyński, Country Manager Poland at Logicor, said: “Our customers are increasingly demanding comprehensive projects combining land purchasing, construction, and facility management, and we are eager to support them with our logistics experience in Poland. Our development for Royal Canin Polska will create a contemporary, efficient and sustainable warehouse space fully tailored to our customer’s needs, driving their growth and expansion plans. This project embodies the Logicor strategy: long term partnership to provide flexible space for their business and create value for both parties in the process.”
