Logicor acquires two sustainable last-mile developments from RVE

Almere and Zoetermeer Cityhubs exceed 11,500 m2 each
Amsterdam, 3 October 2022 - Logicor, a leading European owner and manager of logistics real estate in Europe, has acquired two last-mile logistic developments in Almere and Zoetermeer, in the Netherlands from developer RVE. The warehouses are the first two developments in RVE’s Urban Miles concept. Each location exceeds 11,500 m2 divided over 4 units. Logicor will be responsible for leasing the new developments.

The logistics warehouse in Almere will be developed on a plot comprising almost 15,000 m2 located at Beemsterweg 12-12B in Almere. Start of construction works is scheduled for April 2023 with an envisaged delivery in the second half of 2023. Almere is the largest city in the province of Flevoland and the eighth largest city in the Netherlands. It borders the city of Amsterdam and the Randstad area, counting close to 220,000 inhabitants, over 90,000 households and more than 19,000 companies.
The logistics warehouse in Zoetermeer will be built on a plot comprising some 14,500 m2 located at Edisonstraat 53-59 in Zoetermeer. Start of construction works is scheduled for the last quarter of 2022 with an envisaged delivery in the early second half of 2023. Zoetermeer is a fast-growing Randstad city counting over 125,000 inhabitants, approximately 55,000 households and over 19,000 companies. Zoetermeer is a core growth centre of the city of The Hague less than 20 miles from the city of Rotterdam.

The main features of both modern developments are its high sustainability standards aiming for a BREEAM-NL Excellent (New Build) certificate, a full-electric climate concept, PV-panel roofs. LED lighting and electric charging stations. Both hubs will combine cross docking and warehousing.
Savills acted as technical advisor to Logicor while Houthoff provided legal support. 1530 Real Estate and Lexence advocaten advised the seller RVE in this transaction. RVE has joined forces with investors Eelko van Kooten and Mike Van Eck to realize the complexes in the Urban Miles concept.
Logicor owns and manages an extensive network of well-located, distribution and last-mile assets across the Netherlands and Belgium managed from Logicor’s office in Amsterdam. In this geographical area, Logicor now has an approximately 840,000 m2 network of assets either owned or under management.
