10th July 2023: Logicor, a leading owner, manager and developer of logistics real estate in Europe, has completed and delivered its flagship development in Sala Bolognese, Northern Italy.
The site, which includes over 27,000 sqm of modern warehousing and 1,940 sqm for office spaces and employee facilities, has been leased to a global transport company who will use it as a key distribution hub for its operations across Italy and into mainland Europe.
Located just 16 km to the Norwest of Bologna Centre and about 11 km from the major transport network, the site was purchased in 2021 as part of the strategic focus to develop modern, well-located assets in key markets where demand continues to outstrip supply.
The property has been developed to high environmental standards with over 1,000 solar panels and smart monitoring of energy and water consumption to ensure efficiency for the customer.
This project is the largest development ever undertaken by Logicor in Italy, and further increases Logicor’s footprint in the country to 2.6 million sqm of owned and managed assets.

As part of the commitment to the local community, green spaces open to the public have been designed and landscaped, encouraging greater biodiversity of local flora and fauna. A new cycle path will connect the local train station and the site, encouraging employees to travel sustainably whilst also helping support their overall wellbeing. The project contributed to the opening of the new House of Culture on the premises of the former school in Via Gramsci and the expansion of the Local Police offices with the establishment of the new radio operations center next to the Center for video surveillance of the entire municipality.
