FP&A Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an FP&A Manager with proven leadership capabilities to join our Finance Team. The key responsibility of the role will be to provide effective leadership of the FP&A team, including management of two individuals and will also entail the delivery of business objectives in a timely and accurate manner for the finance team and wider business. The FP&A Manager will be responsible for delivering the annual budget on behalf of the business as well as the shareholder reporting, therefore a proven ability for stakeholder and project management is essential. This role will report directly into the Director of Group Finance and be based in our London headquarters.

Main Responsibilities:

Preparation of an annual Budget:

  • Planning
  • Timetabling
  • Understanding lease level data and assumptions
  • Understanding and including all corporate aspects of the model:
    • G&A
    • Interest
    • Tax forecast (with Head of Tax)  Distributions
    • Capital structure
    • Liquidity
    • Interest and FX risk
  • Produce Budget pack and commentary
  • Address queries from Shareholders
  • Shareholder reporting:
    • Responsible for Quarterly Shareholder Reporting:
      • Quarterly reporting of actual v budget
      • Detailed variance analysis
    • Reforecasting of full year result
    • Detailed variance analysis
  • Detailed analysis to drive savings across Opex, Capex and G&A
  • Project based work:
    • KPI reporting project to improve key financial and operational KPIs
    • Data integrity project focusing on financial reporting, capex, leasing and ESG
    • Interaction with on-going Business Transformation project
  • Preparation of Regional G&A budgets and comparison to actual outturn
  • Management of the FP&A team, which currently includes two individuals

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (2:1 or higher), ideally in a Financial subject
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with considerable PQE experience
  • Proven capability and experience in FP&A
  • Proven capability and experience working within the European Logistics Real Estate Market
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience of working in a commercial finance role
  • Able to manipulate, analyse and model large volumes of data and identify key issues; must very good in

Excel and PowerPoint

  • Proven capability to lead and execute projects and to drive change
  • Proven capability to present to and influence Senior Management
  • Ability to work with and influence non-finance teams based on robust data and analysis
  • Experience in leading a team.
