Logicor secured a new lease on its largest unit at Martlesham Heath Business Park, through identifying the customer’s property requirements and working closely with them to ensure best timings for the incoming tenant while minimising the void period.
Due to extensive agent relationships, Logicor was aware that DPD Group Ltd had a requirement for the area and through early discussion was able to secure a new lease to DPD Group UK Ltd, adding this new customer to its UK portfolio.
Logicor’s 550,000 sq ft Martlesham Heath Business Park is home to a variety of occupiers including Home Bargains, Screwfix, Toolstation and Howdens.
With an imminent expiry of the largest unit in the business park, Logicor was tasked with finding a suitable occupier for the 33,000 sq ft unit.
Given Logicor’s extensive multi-let portfolio of over 1,300 units in the UK there is a steady stream of stock to be re-let. The asset managers at Logicor work in conjunction with an extensive network of occupier contacts and local leasing agents to identify potential occupiers at the earliest opportunity.
In this instance DPD’s expansion requirements were known within the team and working with DPD’s agent an early discussion led to securing the new lease.
DPD had a clear timetable in which they needed to be operational hence a flexible approach was taken which allowed DPD to be ready on time.
The warehouse space, totalling 33,000 sq ft, was taken by the leading parcel delivery brand on a new five-year lease.
