Logicor provides warehouse space near Budapest for IKEA, the global furniture company
Background
IKEA wanted to relocate an existing External Merchandise Pickup Unit in Hungary to a larger, better quality warehouse that was closer to the centre of Budapest.
Solution
Logicor offered IKEA space in Tulipan Park Budapest. Tulipan Park is situated in Biatorbágy, one of the most advanced and developed areas of Budapest at the junction of the M0 ring road and the M1 highway.
Logicor's leasing and asset management team worked closely with IKEA to understand how the warehouse unit could be optimised for their specific operation. The tailored solution included a new workers area, new office area, customer parking, customer area fit-out, new loading bay and home delivery entrance, new IT room and kitchen, plus a separate park entrance for customer vehicle traffic.
Result
IKEA leased 5,200 sqm of warehouse space and 650 sqm of office space in a class-A building. The new location is near the centre of Budapest and firmly in line with the customer's exacting real estate policy requirements.
