Logicor constructed a 20,419 sq ft extension to the unit to facilitate the installation of a new production line at the property as Plastic Omnium continued to win new contracts from JLR. This increased the footprint of the unit with Plastic Omnium taking a long term lease.

Background

Logicor acquired the Plastic Omnium facility at Edison Road, Hams Hall with a short unexpired lease term in-place. Plastic Omnium use this facility to mould and assemble tailgates for a number of Jaguar Land Rover (“JLR”) models. Following the success of this facility Plastic Omnium has continued to win contracts to produce tailgates for additional JLR models.

Solution

Logicor constructed a 20,419 sq ft extension to the unit to allow Plastic Omnium to expand the manufacturing operation from this facility. The extension was constructed within a tight timeframe to allow Plastic Omnium to meet the deadlines in their contract with JLR and the existing facility remained fully operational throughout the extension works.

Result

The extension was delivered on time to allow Plastic Omnium to invest in and install a new production line at the property. Logicor created value by increasing the footprint of the building with Plastic Omnium taking a long term lease at the unit.
