Logicor and DHL Supply Chain Iberia, a subsidiary of global leader in logistics DHL, have agreed to renew the lease on a 12,000 sqm warehouse in Ciempozuelos Park and to rent an additional 4,000 sqm at an adjacent property.

This space will become DHL's new Life Science and Healthcare Campus, from where it will centralise its medical and pharmaceutical logistics activities in Madrid.

The property's optimal technical and operational features, its capacity for future expansion and excellent location were the driving factors which led to DHL to commit to Logicor’s Ciempozuelos Park as a strategic logistics hub for their pharmaceutical division.

I am delighted that we have strengthened our customer relationship with DHL in Spain’s main logistics market. The modular nature of our properties enabled us to provide a flexible solution that fits with their business plans,” said Manel Vericat, Managing Director for Southern Europe, Logicor.

Matilde Torquemada, Head of the Life Science & Healthcare Business Unit at DHL Supply Chain Iberia, said: “We are very pleased to have renewed our agreement with Logicor. The facility at Ciempozuelos meets all the specific requirements for our new Life Science & Healthcare Campus.

The DHL Life Science & Healthcare Campus currently handles 400,000 parcel movements a year and can store over 23,000 pallets.

Ciempozuelos Park totals 45,000 sqm and is now fully occupied. The park is in a prime location with excellent road connections including direct access to the A-4 highway, 35km from Central Madrid and 43km from Madrid-Adolfo Suárez International Airport.
