Fluidra's logistics operator, Trace Logistics, will occupy a warehouse in a strategic location halfway between Barcelona and the French border. The development reinforces Logicor's footprint in Spain and consolidates its position as a major player in the sector.

Logicor, a leading owner and manager of logistics real estate in Europe, has begun the development of a c.16,000 sqm Built-to-Suit logistics asset (BTS) equipped with 20 loading bays for Trace Logistics, the Fluidra group's logistics operator. The project is located in Sant Feliu de Buixalleu, a strategic enclave along AP-7 motorway and halfway between Barcelona and the French border.
The new development reinforces Logicor's presence in a national logistics hub and will allow Fluidra to centralise stock and improve the delivery service of its products in several of its main European markets: Spain, Portugal, France and Italy.
The building has been designed to meet the highest quality and safety standards and is targeting BREEAM Very Good. Once completed, it will be possible to carry out activities included under the Seveso regulation, which certifies that the facility applies the necessary measures to mitigate and prevent potential risks arising from industrial activity.
Xavier Novell, Logicor's Director of Asset Management in Spain, said: "With this project, Logicor consolidates its position as one of the leading logistics developers in Spain. We are very pleased that Fluidra, a company that is part of the IBEX-35 index and a leader in its sector, trusts our services and the location of our logistics platform in Sant Feliu de Buixalleu".
Logicor has commissioned CBC, acting as General Contractor, to carry out the construction works. The operation is being advised by JAP Abogados.
Increases its footprint in the domestic market
The new development joins the more than 2.5 million sqm of assets under management that Logicor has in the Iberian Peninsula and allows the company to increase its presence in Catalonia, a market in which it recently acquired an 88,000 sqm logistics plot in the municipality of Abrera, some 25 kilometers from Barcelona and very close to the main motorway networks that connect with Madrid and France.
In addition, the company has the largest and most diversified portfolio of distribution centres in Madrid, with the majority of its portfolio in this region located along the Corredor Henares, the most important logistics market in Spain. Logicor is also a leading player in Valencia, the third largest logistics market in Spain, with more than 200,000 sqm of assets under management.
