Logicor leases two new developments in Poing and Bönen, Germany
26 Jan 2022
Over the last 11 months, Logicor, a leading owner and manager of logistics real estate in Europe, has signed lease agreements for two properties in Germany, Poing and Bönen, following redevelopments at both sites.
In Poing, the construction of a 10,000 sqm new warehouse was completed in 2021 and Logicor expects the redeveloped asset to be BREEAM certified in the coming months.
At the end of 2021, Logicor leased the warehouse to Hummel Möbelverleih GmbH on a long-term basis. The company, which operates in the furniture rental business, selected the asset for its quality and central location, aiming to consolidate its business which had previously been divided up into various smaller storage areas.
In Bönen, following the demolition of an outdated property, a 37,000 sqm new logistics facility was completed in 2021, subsequently leased to the furniture company Poco Einrichtungsmärkte GmbH and it’s in process of being BREEAM certified. The property was selected by Poco for the strategic location with a direct connection to the A2, the suitable layout over two floors and the sustainability credentials.
Moritz Heißenberg, Logicor’s Country Manager Germany said: “We are delighted to welcome Hummel Möbelverleih GmbH and Poco Einrichtungsmärkte GmbH as new tenants of Logicor and wish them huge success in the future. Both properties have benefited from significant investment and have been redeveloped to high specifications and environmental standards and we are pleased to add them to our portfolio"
