Logicor begins development at ‘Smart City’ site Bad Hersfeld, Germany

Logicor, leading owner and manager of logistics assets in Europe, has begun development at a new site in the North-Hesse district, Bad Hersfeld, strengthening its presence in a key market in Northern Europe.
The new development will have a lettable area of 8,400 m². There will be car parking on site and the remaining area will allocated to support local biodiversity with specific provision for nest boxes in the surrounding trees. The site will target EG 40 building standards, a German construction standard for efficient building construction, including LED lighting systems, ceiling sprinklers, and secured compatibility for PV-panels, timer truss roof construction and heating pump technology and will be carbon neutral, before occupation. Strategically located at Am Ententeich, the site is within one hour from Frankfurt am Main and Kassel airport and also offers direct access to Giessen, Fulda, Erfurt and Kasse via the A4 and A7 motorways.

This development milestone comes shortly after the groundbreaking of the Hamm business park towards the end of last year - where we expect completion on schedule in June 2023.
