Logicor completes development in Hamm, Germany

5th July 2023: Logicor, a leading owner, manager and developer of logistics real estate in Europe has completed Logicor Park Hamm, the latest development in Germany, further increasing the scale of Logicor’s presence in this key logistics market. 

The c.18,000 sqm site is located in Hamm, North-west Germany on the former “Trendfleur” site in the Hamm-Rhynern district. It has direct access to both the A2, a key motorway linking Dortmund and Bielefeld, and the trimodal interchange only 12km away. 

The site is divided into two units. Unit 1 comprises approximately 5,900 square meters of warehouse space, 1,170 square meters of mezzanine area, and 110 square meters of office space. Unit 2 consists of approximately 9,000 square meters of warehouse space, around 1,500 square meters of mezzanine area, and 430 square meters of office space.  

The development has achieved high environmental standards, including the German DGNB Gold standard, and has been accredited as BREEAM Very Good.

The building is operated with a fossil-free heating system using an air-to-water heat pump and has increased its efficiency by using improved insulation as well as LED lighting systems. There are also around 40 charging stations for electric vehicles. 

Over 2,100 photovoltaic panels have been fitted, creating a capacity of approximately 1.5MWp and the glued laminated timber roof structures contribute to the energy efficiency of the development.

Local species of shrubs, trees and bushes have been planted, and along with the green roof, are supporting the growth of local flora and fauna, creating a green landscaped environment for employees to benefit from.

Logicor Park Hamm is poised to transform the existing site into a purposeful space. Depending on the specific user requirements, 30-50 jobs are expected to be created on site.
